MEMORIAL DAY FLOWERS
Grave decorations are allowed (including artificial flowers) from May 26 through June 5. All grave decorations will be disposed of beginning at 6:00 am on June 6. No glass or metal containers at any time please. With the exception of Memorial Day, no artificial flowers or grave decorations are allowed between April 1 and October 31 to allow for cemetery mowing. Live flowers are allowed but will be removed when they become unsightly.
Recently installed in the mausoleum, glass niches allow for a customizable display of photos and other memorabilia, as well as a cremated remains urn. Also a generous gift from the Pendleton Foundation Trust!
This group is dedicated to helping preserve the historic and aesthetic attributes of Olney Cemetery. The Friends organization aids citizens in finding the locations of loved ones during Memorial Day and have helped decrease vandalism and theft during this holiday.
